KINGSTON, Jamaica, Thursday December 24, 2015 – The police are offering a J$1 million (US$8,312) reward to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest of those responsible for the drive-by killing of two police officers on Tuesday night.
Police Commissioner Dr Carl Williams announced the reward offer as he assured that the full weight of the law will be brought down on those who gunned down Corporal Kenneth
Davis and Constable Craig Palmer.
According to reports, the two were playing a game of dominoes with friends in the south eastern parish of St. Thomas when gunmen opened fire around 8 p.m.
A civilian was also injured.
Police have identified Marlon ‘Duppy Film’ Perry as a person of interest in the shooting, as well as Jason Foster, and a man known only as ‘Patta’.
They have been urged to surrender immediately.
Head of the Criminal Investigation Branch Assistant Commissioner of Police, Ealan Powell, says Perry has been on the police’s radar for years and he has been linked to several murders.
